Churchill's language is wonderful. Very evocative. However, the set is too short. 3 cassettes are not nearly enough to do justice even to a brief history of our glorious islands. If, you do not have a good understanding of events & timelines & people, then this series may confuse you. Some major events are left out & it jumps time periods. But if you can follow along then his prose is remarkablein its fluidity & power. He wisely spends more time expounding on a few well chosen events, bringing those to life. I thoroughly enjoyed it all & I wish it was 3X as long.
