Excellent practice - By: Ed Poacher, 09 Sep 2010
I agree with everyone's recommendation for this book. It is certainly the most complete & the best practice you can find for the UKCAT. With this book & the online practice test from the ukcat website, you should be well prepared. I scored 830 at the exam this morning & I definitely owe it to this book.
A breath of fresh air - By: Lionel Cromer, 07 Sep 2010
In the jungle of books dealing with the UKCAT, this book is really the only one that does not treat the reader like a complete idiot & which actually adds value by providing proper explanations & by giving a range of exercises which span all levels of difficulty. I found it the most useful of all & would recommend it to all ukcat applicants. It helped me secure an average score of 820/900.
The most in-depth of all UKCAT resources - By: Johann Simon, 05 Sep 2010
No contest. This book is definitely the best one for preparing for the UKCAT. Lots of detail & a good range of exercises.
A critical but fair review. - By: Dan, 04 Sep 2010
I have bought & read several books on the UKCAT & I must say, this probably the 'least bad' of them. The book provides far more in-depth analysis than other books, & good advice on the various sub-test areas. It does however seem to contradict the rules of some other books when dealing with the Verbal Reasoning subtest(which is quite worrying).
If you can only buy one or two books for the UKCAT BUY THIS ONE. The best practice however (in my opinion) comes from going through the online tests & analysing the answers. Combine that approach with the various tricks & tactics outlinedin this book & I think (with a lot of hard work) you will be well on your way to succeedingin the UKCAT.
One of the areas which I thought to be particularly well done was the Decision Analysis section of this book, which is by far the most comprehensive & insightful of all the other UKCAT books.
A really good book, addressing fully practice needs for the UKCAT - By: Denise Barlow, 04 Sep 2010
This book is honestly brilliant. As well as practice, it focusses strongly on explaining how to use different techniques to approach the questions to save. Out of the 3 books that I bought this was the most comprehensive, the most explanatory & the one which gave me the best value.
