Most of this material is amongst the lesser known of Twain's output. Curiously, it's improved with age because these sketches & short pieces were disregarded at a time when writingin great detail was more highly valued. Twain has angles, insights & inspired views on most of his subjects & this is a great place to start getting to know him if you've not read any of his more famous works.
