Entertaining - By: Ms. R. K. H. Chapman, 18 Jul 2010
As always John Barrowman is honest & entertaining. An insight into his family life & relationships & covering the more recent years of his career. A good read with fun personal pictures.
Biographies - By: Michelle Stiles, 09 Jun 2010
I recently purchased both this & Anything Goes. Absolutely wonderful. Both of them. I personally am not really a big fan of biographies or autobiographiesin general. John's are the only ones that I have ever wanted to read & actually purchased. These are a must have for any John Barrowman fan.

As with John Barrowman's first book I read this over two days. It is easy to read & flows through from one chapter to the next. His stories are entertaining. His love for his family & partner shine through the pages. There were some recollections that had me crying tears of laughter (try page 27 where he recalls his attempts at entertaining his niece & nephew using a folding bed.... & his brothers understanding of what a brothel is.. priceless). I would highly recommend this book.
A PERSONAL PROFILE OF JOHN - By: M. Macnair, 02 Feb 2010
This autobiography tells you all you want to know about John, his family & friends & his beloved Dogs.......I found the emotive parts came over very clearly & was drawn into the book by the personal wayin which it is written.
I have always liked John...after reading this, I like him even more.
Wonderful and warm - By: John's Altar, 22 Jan 2010
This book was wonderful & warm, an invitation from John to come into his home, relaxin the living room, & listen to him tell funny & personal stories about himself & his very close knit family. From the way his sister, Carole, wrote it, you can hear John speaking throughout the book.
This book & the first book, Anything Goes, shouldn't be compared. These really are two different stories. Anything Goes is about John's career to date, I Am What I Am is about the person. Get the first if you're interestedin a successful career, get the second if you're interestedin John the person.
Personally, I wouldn't mind at all having John, Scott & the dogs as my next door neighbors.
