A great help to identification. - By: Ms. F. Cockwill, 04 Oct 2007
What a pleasure to use & so helpfull, information is key with mushrooms, if your not sure, dont touch it!
I find best to look out for a selection of specific & easily recognised & confirmed species, such as sulphur polypore, giant puffball, cep (penny bun) also Tree ears can bein abundance but dont fry them!! they jump about!
use them for sauces.

Knowing what to look for... - By: Norman Yap, 23 Sep 2004
In picking mushrooms, there are 2 approaches:
- show the good & the bad & have copious notes to explain the two
- show only the good & advise the picker to ignore or discard anything that doesn't appearin the book.
Jordan follows the latter & safe as it is, there is always something that makes you want to know about the Dark Side of mycology, justin case you should wander into its temple one day...
Easy recipes, sound advice, safe approach.
