Two things worth mentioning about this book - one is that it is quite American (lots of Mom & Mommy) & the other is that it's not a week-by-week journal. Instead it has questions divided into sections like thoughts before the birth & coming home etc.
It's good to have a section on baby milestones like sitting up & smiling etc as ones I've seen before just finish at the coming home point.
As the previous reviewer said, it has got a strong Christian theme throughout & a whole section of questions on things like 'when did baby first hear about God' & writing to baby about what your relationship with God is.
It is clever to take the format of love letters to the baby & would make a lovely gift to them when they are older. I think I'd rather have a week by week journal, though this would make a good gift to a religious friend when you don't know if they've already got a week-by-week pregnancy journal.
Great Book. - By: Mrs Melanie J Innes, 20 Feb 2003 I was looking for a book for my second baby as I had used the Anne Geddes "My Pregnancy Journal" for my first baby & I didn't want my two children to have the same books & be able to compare too much!
This book was a real find. I thoroughly enjoyed writing up this book & recommend it to other expectant mothers. It does have a very strong religious theme which I wasn't aware of when I bought it but it suited me perfectly. There is plenty of space for writing up details of when you found out about the pregnancy, from the first scan through to the birth. It also allows space to add details of the nursery, gifts you received & dates of memorable moments - rolling over, sitting, crawling & walking. The book also includes many quotes from the bible & some very beautiful poems. There are also places for you to write very special personal moments & memories. This book really would be a "Love Letter to your Baby" & I can't wait for the moment I will be able to sit & enjoy going through it with my daughter one day.
