Dog Lover Trap - What a waste - By: C. V. Gomez, 16 Jan 2008
Don't fall for this one - - the pictures are completely amateurish, very expensive for what it turned out to be, I felt cheated; I wouldn't have bought it had I seen itin a store. May I just say the phrases ("uses") for a Lab are a mockery to your intelligence, no matter how much you like this breed!
Now I know what my Lab's for .... - By: J. Ward, 15 Nov 2007
An excellent book full of wonderful images showing the true nature of the Labrador Retriever. Humourous & cute, some of the captions even bring a lump to the throat ... you'll know the 'one' when you read it. A wonderful & relaxing read for the Labrador Lover and/or anyone who enjoys 'aaah'-ing at pictures of dogs doing what dogs do best.
Excellent !!! - By: ShotokanDawn, 26 Nov 2006
This is a wonderful little book which captures the character traits of the best dog breedin world to a T. The photography is beautiful although a few of the 'poses' could have been given a little more thought rather than just taking snap shots. But they do not detract from the value this little book has. It cannot fail to bring a smile to your face whenever you open it up at whichever page & the accompanying comments are very clever. I have 2 wonderful labradors (a chocolate & a black ... hubby won't let me complete the set with a yellow lab tho!!!) & to see their breed captured on filmin this way is a thorough treat & something I will always appreciate. Enjoy! :-D
Disappointing - By: Essex Girl, 15 Aug 2006
As a dog lover I thought this book looked like a real winner. However, I was very disappointed with the content. I was going to give it as a gift but feel it just isn't entertaining enough.
The pictures could have been so much better.
Adorable - By: Milly Smith, 17 Jul 2006
Aren't our pet dogs great? I got a puppy only a few months ago & absolutely adore her funny, entertaining antics. Guess that is why I also enjoy reading about the antics of other people's dogs as well. This book is basically a pictorial book of the incredibly adoring & amusing qualities of one of man's best friends, the Labrador; although there are also several pictures showing the not so adorable antics that Labs get up to as well - thesein particular reminded me of the need for John Donoghue's well thought out 10 commandments of dog which I foundin another book about a Labrador that I've also read recently called Shakespeare my Butt! which details some of the author's amusing trials & tribulations of bringing up his own Labrador puppy. When I read `101 Uses for a Lab' there were many pictures that made me shout out `yes, yes, that's exactly what Penny (my dog) does'. Fabulous!
