Awful simply awful - By: Mr Closer, 26 Feb 2009
This book is awful & worthless. A lot of drivel & the book is wafer thin (70 pages).
Do not waste your money on this, look at other books on Amazon from people like Jeffery Gitomer, Brian Tracy etc which are far superior & will certainly help you if you are new to sales or looking for a refresher.
This book however, is utter rubbish & should be avoided. Sorry to be negative but this book does the sales profession enormous harm.
It's bad - By: WaterLog, 14 Mar 2008
The techniques containedin this book are all the cheesy dated techniques everyone,in sales or not, have come to understand & loath.
Don't get me wrong, cold calling has it's place & it's tough going, but this book isn't about face to face selling as it is convincing people to buy rubbish with all the obvious sleazy techniques that come's with it.
You may not find it's references to selling self closing toilet seats & so forth much help. I sure didn't.
Rip-off - By: Salesguy, 12 Jun 2007
The worst sales book I have ever read. I felt so ripped off for paying so much for so little. It's as thin on pages as it is on ideas - about the thickness of a wafter biscuit. Don't buy this blatantly bad attempt at continuing a blatantly bad sales career.
Red Rock cider - By: Richard J. Taylor, 08 Feb 2007
Like Red Rock cider, which isn't red & has no rocksin it, this book is not particularly simple & has no secretsin it. O.K, there is the odd useful tip, but nothing that has not been said oft before. Nor is there about inspirational selling. This book neither shocked nor inspired me,in fact, it's possibly the dullest book I've ever read on selling. Very disappointing, considering the other 'rave' reviews.
Simplicity Works - By: , 06 Apr 2005
I have just camein from another days selling & i am excited as can be about my success today. The tactics explainedin this book where a little shocking to me & i was very nervous, or even a little afraid about trying them out. BUT THEY REALLY DO WORK.
I initially & wrongly assumed these methods only worked with the Brits, but boy was i wrong..This is a must read & dont be afraid to try the tactics, i can testify that they work.
