I bought this book along side the doodle book, & I have to say its fantastic.
My son was forever asking "what can I draw?" when given a piece of paper & soon got fed up with it & the convetional colouring books, but now, all he ever does is draw. He hasn't actually played with his DS consolein a long time which is fantastic!
He take his time, putsin lots of thought & effort, this is something he has previously never done when given coloured pencils.
Highly reccomened, will keep them & you amused for ages!
Just wish I'd come up with the idea! - By: Blondie, 01 Sep 2008 As a counsellor working extensively with children of all ages, both sexes & from all backgrounds with a whole host of issues, I find this book invaluablein unlocking some of their unconscious thoughts & opening up lines of communication. But most of all, it's great fun. Think I should be receiving royalties for the sales I have actively encouraged. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Ace when your 7 ace when you're 27!!! - By: L. Hargreaves, 13 Aug 2008 I had one of these when I was about 10. It didn't have the same cover but all the same things arein it. It's fantastic! It really gets you thinking & the imagination flowing. These are great to finish, keep & look back on. In mine, I had to draw a scene of what the world would be likein 2001! I had flying cars & robots! Makes me laugh now! Would recommend this book to anyone of any age. It's really clever & enormous fun!!!
Fantastic! - By: Funmum, 19 Apr 2008 This book really sparks the imagination! I bought this to top up an order & dont regret it! One of my children just "doesnt do drawing" & said at 11 she was "too old for colouring in". I gave her this & she didnt out it down for days, completing page after page of detailed & imaginative artwork.
The book gives the idea, a basic start such as "design a stamp for the first postcard sent from Mars" & a postcard outline... or "The artist hurt his thumb as he was starting his picture, can you help him out?" & they are off! Great for any child who has difficulty with imaginative artwork or who has trouble creating something pleasing from scratch :)
Brilliant! Buy One...or two!! - By: Pippin and Tog, 10 Apr 2008 I bought this for my ten year old daughter who is art mad! Ordinary colouring books are OK but limit creativity to "what colour shall I use next?" This book is wonderful, it asks the user to think about what they want to draw by starting with the germ of an idea & then letting the user decide where to take it from there!
My daughter & her friends were facinated by it!
Excellent for home, school, play groups, after school clubs etc.
