Customer Reviews
Quality appaling, content average - By: P. J. Sanders, 08 Feb 2007
As per other reviews, the quality of the book really is laughable. It looks like a child has printed & bound it.
The book quality makes it difficult to get into the actual content, when you do however you will find some practical, no-nonsense advice. I actually like the way it is straight to the point & doesn't babble on about the all of the complexities this subject can present to us.
Very Very Poor Quality - By: L. Coady, 02 Feb 2007
Spiral bound, 102 pages (At font size 16).
If i said the print quality was dire, then i'd be understating how i feel about it.
This has to be one of the worst purchases i've ever made on Amazon, it astounds me that something like this is actually available for sale here.
As mentioned by another reviewer, you can download this free from the web. Pity i hadn't read the reviews for this item.
As for the content of the "book", i am actually loathed to pick the thing up, but from what i've read it looks like an ok beginners guide/overview of SEO. Not an experts guide. And if they went down to a proper font size then this would really be around 10-15 pages A4.
Excellent content, lacks in print quality - By: , 07 Mar 2006
While the print quality of this book is nothing to be proud of, I found the actual content of great interest.
In a very down-to-earth & to-the-point manner, it covers the strategy behind designing web sites so that they rank higherin search results. It has a step-by-step approach, explaining with examples how to structure your web site from scratch.
Whether you have a web site or not, if you have a generic understanding of IT/Web technologies or Information Management principles & want to expand your knowledge on SEO, then this book is for you.
£7.99 for a poor quality print that is free on the web!!! - By: , 22 Feb 2006
I am sure the content of this book is great, but I'm finding impossible to read past the first few pages from sheer frustration. The publication was hot off the press from what I presume could only be a bubble jet printer. To make matters worse I found the entire book is available online for free!!! It is not a copy published by a some plagiarist, this is the official copy published by none other than the author!!!
My colleagues found the entertainment value alone priceless as this poor excuse for a publication left me ranting like Basil Faulty for a good part of my afternoon.
I will be returning this book & intend to print off the website instead.
Content good, book quality terrible - By: , 08 Feb 2006
This is a very simple step by step process of how to get to the top of the rankings & I highly recommend it for its content, however the quality of the publication is terrible. I expect more than a black & white photocopy cheaply bound. The book content has just been taken from a web page so you get the underlined URL links that you cannot click on!
