Best lemon muffins ever - By: P. Henriksen, 03 Dec 2008
Lots of easy & quick recepies to go about. Especially the lemon muffin has been & continues to be a crowd pleaser. You can easily do any of themin a matter of 15 min incl washing up & then you just have to wait to take them out of the oven. Never short of any of the ingredients as you can find one that suits what you got at hand. Pictures included of all of them.
Exactly what it says on the (muffin!) tin - By: A. Mallarkey, 19 Nov 2008
Before I bought this book I had a very limited number of dishes I could cook, and, as you have probably guessed from other reviews, I now feel that I'm an expert baker & I am baking at least twice a week.
After borrowing this book I couldn't wait to get my own copy. The recipes are clear & simple & the extra information about the properties of each ingredient is very useful, but you don't need to fully understand it all to enjoy using this book. There are a large number of suggested recipe variations too, with lots of scope to experiment.
If you buy this book it'll be the best £6 you'll spend today & you'll get lots of praise from friends & colleagues at parties & meetings.
divine - By: avid baker, 19 Nov 2008
I've only owned this book for about two days & already it's one of my favourite baking books. I've tried the corn muffins & the berry muffins & the results were truly divine. This book is perfectly adapted to suit the needs of the European baker. I've had too many disasters with other muffin books. This one was truly a breath of fresh air. Not only were the results consistent, her notes at the front & back explained clearly what was going wrong with those other recipes. I love this little book. I wish I'd bought the hardcover now because it's going to see some heavy use.
Muffins - Fast and Fantastic - By: C. MACLEOD, 14 Nov 2008
I used this book for the first time as my boy's school was looking for individual cakes to sell for Childrenin Need. I had a number of over-ripe bananas & decided to make the banana muffin receipe. I had never tried making muffins before so I was looking for first time success & would have been disappointed if they hadn't turned out. I was very pleased with the results.
I made 14 muffinsin total, 2 of which myself & my husband had with our cup of tea. They were beautiful. The receipe was well laid out with easy to follow instructions, providing you with handy tips/suggestions. This book is a must have, creating mouth watering muffins which everyone will enjoy. I am now looking forward to trying out the fruit filled muffins. It's a book that the children would even use.
fantastic recipes! - By: yummy mummy, 03 Nov 2008
These are wonderfully quick, healthy & easy recipes - my children (4 & 2 yrs) both love helping to make them too. So easy - stir all the dry ingredientsin one bowl & the wet onesin another. When it's time to bake, mix them together, put into the cases & into the oven they go. These recipes work wellin the small cake cases too - nice small muffins perfect for lunchboxes.
People have always turned up their noses when I present them with the cocoa & courgette ones, but once tried, they come back for more! My children are convinced they are chocolate cakes ;-)
