AN EXCELLENT COMPANION TO 'FIRST STEPS IN WINEMAKING' - By: Hilary Cameron, 03 Jul 2003
If you have enjoyed the delights of CJJ Berry's 'First Stepsin Winemaking', then this is an ideal companion & the logical next step. Although one or two of the recipes have been repeated from the first book, this contains over 130 mouth-watering recipes for home-made 'country' wines. Even at today's prices, they can work out as little as 20p per 75 cl bottle!!
Unlike the first book, the wines are listedin alphabetical order rather than seasonally which makes them easier to locate. The only problem I found was deciding which to make first & having to limit production to the space availablein the house.
For beginners, try 'First steps' first as there are more detailed instructions for home winemaking - these are bascially just recipes & assume a working knowledge of the techniques involved.
For more experienced wine makers or as a companion volume, it is superb & inspirational.
