I have just taken up silk painting as a new hobby & I am finding this excellent book very useful.There are twelve step by step, well illustrated projects,using a range of techniques from simply painting onto wet or dry silk to using gutta,wax or salt granules.The projects give an introduction to basic silk painting skills but also provide a good starting point for being creative & developing your own ideas. I am particularly pleased to find the chapters showing basic materials & colour mixing plus a comprehensive glossary.I am confident that they will be a constant source of reference. This book is perfect for beginners but is also ideal for those who want to progress further with this craft.
