Don't believe everything you read or hear - By: , 26 Jul 2001
This book was superbin one way, it kept me turning every page with eagerness, but Stephen King books sometimes do that. This author obviously is not writing a documentary, he is writing a thrilling page turner. When an author writes for that objective expect some liberties of the truth to be taken. I have heard good & bad things of Hells Angels, but I refuse to make my judgements from this book no matter how enertaining or provocative it is, it is chock full of bull. I must continue readings of both sides before drawing any conclusions.
Prepare to laugh out loud - By: tawnym@globalnet.co.uk, 19 Oct 1999
I cannot believe how seriously other reviewers have taken this book. It is a complete bunch of garbage with only two redeeming features: the dreadful language that the author insists on using, with a particular four letter word fixation that really puts us womenin our place; & secondly, the chapter about what the different colour 'wings' represent. This book had my friends & acquaintancesin stitches. Remember 'three can keep a secret if two are dead'.
A biased and distorted view - By: , 26 Aug 1999
The author gets his information from informants & cops who want to justify & glorify themselves at the expense of the number one motorcycle organizationin the world. It is full of half truths & lies & slanted viewpoints. If the author had the fortitude to hang out with the people whose names he trashes, he would develop a respect & affection for some really fine & fun people. I know. I did.
One of the best books written about the modern 1% lifestyle! - By: , 27 Jul 1999
If you're interestedin outlaw bikers, this is one of the most comprehensive books written since Hunter Thompson's HELLS ANGELS. It provides a clear understanding of what took the outlaw clubs from being about riding, fighting & women to being primarily focused on earning money & fighting the RICO laws. In addition to great background info on the Angels, there's hard to find history on the other three of the "Big Four" clubs. Although a lot of the book focuses on Canada, it's a great read & a must have for anyone interestedin the outlaw biker subculture.
How is Yves alive still? - By: , 11 Jun 1999
This book names names, dates & explicit crimes committed by the Angels. How the hell he has escaped an assassination is well beyond my understanding! This book will keep you fascinated about the biker lifestyle & wanting to read more about it. Every one of my freinds has read this book & we discuss it frequently! HA RULE!
