Great read for any gymnastics fan. - By: , 23 Jun 1999
This is a very good read for any gymnastics fan & particularly Shannon Miller fans. It has loads of facts & information about Shannon. It is well written by her mother but the constant reference to God & Christian Science is a little "in your face" & gets annoying towards the end of the book. She also makes Shannon out as a bit of a saint & the whole family more like the Waltons than real people. However, the book gives loads of information about Shannon's training, her relationship with Steve Nunno & other gymnasts & a family insight on watching their little girl grow into an Olympic champion. It also shows how it's possible for top gymnasts to have a normal life & still achieve huge success. Get this book.
Very interesting! - By: , 04 May 1999
I am huge fan of gymnastics & of Shannon Miller! This book really kept me interested to the end even though I have already read the other books about Shannon & follwed her career. I already knew quite a bit about my favorite gymnast -- but this book had more detail that I didn't already know & it was interesting to see her career through her mother's point of view. Definitely worth it!!!

As a gymnastics fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It covers Shannon's career & home life through the 1996 Olympics. Reading about the conflicts with her coach was very interesting. It also covered how Shannon's faith helped her through the tough times. I'd highly recommend it for any Shannon Miller fan!
It was a realistic, but touching and should be read by all. - By: , 25 Apr 1999
I think this is a great book that shows with a realistic view on Elite Gymnasts. It shows how the life of one really is. It doesn't just pertain to gymanstic families. It shows how a supportive family can help get you through the happy but tough times.
One of the best books written about Shannon Miller!!! - By: , 29 Mar 1999
This book by Shannon's mom was really interesting! It was a lot like her biography by Krista Quiner, except it had a lot more detail about relationships & the life of an elite level gymnast. It also talks about how having faithin her religion helped get her through the many rough times she's been through. This book had a lot of good pictures! I would recomand this book for anyone involvedin gymnastics!!!
