A well documented book on a very popular subject. It has many interesting features such as chapters on the Political, Religious & Sccioeconomical backgrounds, which gives the reader a better understanding to the historical background of the gospels. The book is conservative & scholarly & yet accessable to the layperson. The three detailed indexes (Author, Subject & Scriptural) are very helpful for instant access. I would recommend this book to anybody who is interestedin studying the life of Jesus Christ for you will refer to it again & again.
