Being Japanese it easy to find books on Kendo as there are many availablein my home country. 'Looking at a far mountain' or 'Enzan no Metsuke'was the first book that I foundin English on the subject of Kendo Kata backin 1992. I find it to be both historically informative & clearin the technical explanation.It also has an unusual format with the text following the photographic layout, i.e. Uchidachi & Shidachi & I must say that I greatly appreciate the endeavours of the author. I am positve that it has & will assist Kendo practitioners everywhere. Signed M Itoh
