A great read!! - By: Sian, 28 Jul 2010
Having watched the tv show I decided to try reading the wirein the blood books & I wasn't disappointed! I have enjoyed reading Val mc Dermids books & I think they work well along with the tv show as they give a greater insight into the characters & their past. We learn more about Tony's parents & the reasons for why Tony has such a quirky, strange personality. I absolutely loved this book & I just couldn't put it down! There are plenty of twists & turns that leave you guessing for the whole book & I have to say this is probably my favourite of the Hill/Jordan books I have read.
Wow!! - By: Rachael, 07 Jul 2010
Having read all of Val Mcdermid's books I was sceptical whether this would come up to scratch, but it certainly does, the twists & turns keep you guessing till the last minute & the changein Tony when he realises what he never knew about his father is refreshing & makes you feel this could still run & run a little longer.

It would be interesting to read the follow up to this.
Loved it. - By: CD, 02 Jun 2010
I have read all of Val McDermid's book & have enjoyed them all. But this i think is one of the best. loved it. I know all the characters as i've read all her booksin turn so maybe that made it better for me but i really enjoyed the story. Read itin 3 days! I recommend all her books if you like serial killer books & weird phsycho stuff!!
Don't let talk of dead bodies put you off an excellent read! - By: Hannah Dexter, 24 May 2010
I haven't read a lot of crime fiction before, thinking that talk of dead bodies would be too grisly for my liking, but I am so glad I picked up this book as just like it says on the cover, I found it to be really gripping & not at all predictable, unlike many books I've read recently. I will definitely be interestedin reading more books from Val McDermidin the future if this one is anything to go by!
Another good Jordan/Hill thriller. - By: J.Flood, 30 Apr 2010
After a slight dipin formin her previous Jordan/Hill novel, Beneath The Bleeding, I was wondering what Fever Of The Bone would be like. In this novel, Carol & Tony are on the trail of a killer who is luring teenagers to their deaths, by gaining their confidence on a social networking website.

I found it a very enjoyable thriller, as good as anyin this series,in fact. As always, the characters of Carol Jordan & Tony Hill are engaging & believeable, helped by a good storyline, that kept me interested, throughout. Tony's manipulative mother was introducedin the previous novel, & we see more of herin this story too. We also learn more about Tony's estranged father. If you enjoy faced paced thrillers, with good characters, you should like this one.
