This book is such a hit with my friends & family,in order to keep my own copy I have now bought four more as presents. It is excellent for both beginners & experienced cooks.
Perfect - By: Miss Cranky, 22 May 2008 I am an inexperienced cook & a mum of a three-year old. This book provides hundreds of healthy & tasty recipes. Very helpful indexin each section with pictures & approximate cooking/preparation time. Very well organized, very good range of recipes, everything easy to find, lots of useful tips & beautiful illustrations. My only complaint (as with lots of other cookbooks I have) is lists of ingredients saying "175 g of carrot" rather than "one/two small carrots", but it seems to be a trend...

I always hate the word 'complete'in the title of any book as books can NEVER be COMPLETE. There will always be several ways to do any one thing. This is, however, an extremely comprehensive book that clearly describes all the basic methods of preparing & cooking most ingredients details equipment used. It even tells you to remove barnacles from mussels before cooking them!
The logical instructions matched with clear photos taken at different stages during the process are the best that I have seenin a cookbook. It is incredibly practical & easy to use.

wonderful recipes & lots of pictures & details. I have had a clear out & Mary Berry Complete Cookbook is the one I use most of the time.
Had a friend here for lunch today & made Bean Bake,fantastic.
Just going to order another Mary Berry book now!

This book is simple to use, easy to follow & the recipes produce perfect results every time. My husband has started to use it now too & he is beginning to 'take over' my recipes, achieving them as well as I do! My only difficulty was, whilst living north of the Arctic circle, finding white chocolate for the wonderful three choc. terrine! I must have created quite a stir; all supermarketsin Bodo now sell it!
