Average - By: Lil Miss Klassy, 22 Aug 2007
I am a huge JM fan & own many of her books - this one, although better than 'Someone to Watch Over Me' was still too short, rushed & overall I felt there was definitely something missing. All her historical novels are excellent but somehow I don't enjoy the contemporary ones as much (even though Perfect & Paradise are my faves!)
Allin all, an average read - not up to usual JM standards...
Not as good as usual.... - By: L. Fairbrother, 09 Oct 2006
I love Judith McNaught & rushed to buy thisin hardback. I was disappointed as I didn't feel that was anywhere near her usual standard. I thought the plot was weak & the ending rushed. Fans like me will no doubt buy this but any newcomers to Judith McNaught should read Paradise, Perfect & all of the historical romances such as Whitney & Almost Heaven before reading this.
Not upto usual judith mcnaught standards - By: Meris - a book lover, 05 Oct 2006
well, i can't say that this book was really good. the story line was good initially, but then after Mitch & Kate split up the story goes a bit slow. i think this doesnt hold a candle to "Perfect" or "Paradise". One interesting thing about this book was that main charecters of both "Perfect" & "Paradise" are featuredin this as friends of Mitch. I'm sure that if you have read them before you would also be looking forward to know about Julie, Zack & Matt,Meredith (and merissa of course) anyways this is just a time-pass kind of book if you are really a great fan of JMN. If you are just begining to read her books i'd recommend "Paradise" or "Perfect" or even historical romance novels like "Once & Always" from the same author.
Almost Like Her Classics...Almost! - By: Kristi Ahlers, 13 Feb 2006
Ms. McNaught's latest effort is a tad reminiscent of what this highly talented author wrotein the past. This could be due to the fact she has brought characters from her first contemporaries "Perfect" & "Paradise" or it could be that she has gone about & crafted her characters the way she used to. In any event this book although not stellar is a nice treat for fans of this long time author.
I loved Mitchell & Kate. They were character Ms. McNaught used to create with her older titles. This was not a story that I would write off & it is actually better then some of her more recent efforts. I take this as a sign that perhaps she is on her way back. I would like to see her return to penning her historical novels. This was fair effort on her part & the storyline & character development was more along the lines of her classic romances...not exactly but reminiscent of what she used to offer fans.
Fabulous Read - By: , 04 Feb 2006
Enjoyable & fabulous read I thoroughly enjoyed. Judith McNaught is a wondeful romance author. I rate this book up there with Fire In The Ice by Katlyn Stewart.
