A love story, a heartbreaking life decision - breathless! - By: , 14 Dec 2000
We all think we know lost love until you read this book. Betty Schimmel makes the reader believein faith, hope & honesty even amidst a worldin turmoil. Her depicition of real & lasting love surviving the holocaust is moving & painful. To yearn for love, to weep for those once loved & lost - is to feel the tragedy that surrounded Betty's life. But like always amidst tragedy there can be a light - she survived to tell this unique story of love & how it survived the barriers of war, man & time, if only to be left as a memory of great love stories. Your version of love once you've read this book will be enhanced, as will your perspective on life...'is it not better to have loved & lost then to have never loved at all?' I am sure thats the way she felt when she wrote this book & that she had you & mein mind!
