Hardback reprint please - By: R. A. Jones-Lee, 07 Feb 2007
A simple plea to publishers.... I regard this as a great cookery book primarily because it's one that I cook from again & again. What that meansin practice is that I need a copy that will stay open without being held open & which is well-produced enough not to get wrecked by spillages & ingredients flying around the kitchen. A paperback will not cut it. If publishers arein any doubt as to whether there's a market, just look at how much used hardback copies are going for.
Most used recipe book I've ever had - By: , 09 Sep 2001
Like the previous reviewer I need another copy because mine's falling to pieces. Great book, with everything you need to know. Despite dozens of other glossy hardback cooking & recipe booksin our possession, I always come back to this one. Please publish again - at least for me & the previous reviewer!
The dishes work first time and every time - By: chataew@aol.com, 05 Jul 2000
I am completely lost. My original edition has at last fallen to pieces after 35 years of constant use. There are so many choices, & so many dishes that it has been a necessityin my kitchen, & now that it is out of print I hope that you can persuade the publishers to reprint. The New Great dishes of the World, though a more attractive book is not a patch on the original. Only about one tenth of the numbers of recipes, & nothing like enough choice. Come back Original Great Dishes of the World.
