This book really helps the budding celtic artist or someone who wants to learn more about celt art designs.

The book has hundreds of intricate designs that helps anyone to understand the construction & layout of knotwork, keypatterns, spirals, zoomorphics, crosses & alphabetic designs.

There are 50 colour pictures which help your imagination run free & with a keen eye & the book, you hand can create wonderful, intricate designs that are both colourful & pleasing to the eye.

Most of these designs have been taken from The Book of Durrow, The Book of Kells, The Book of Lindisfarne & The Book of St Chad so anyone interestedin the historical nature & design of celtic art & illumination will also benefit greately from this book.

I have really enjoyed this book as it has given me better insight into how the origional illuminations were created. I have always been fascinated by this form of artwork & have never quite found a book that is so full of indepth knowledge that spans quite a wide range of subjects.

There are other books that include various designs but The Celtic Art Source Book has combined a wide variety of different designs that it is probably one of the best books I have come by.
