Reflection, rotation and translation. - By: Richard John Allen, 12 Mar 2002
These are the three building blocks of our universe. Professor Zee does an excellent job of describing how these operations are the driving force of modern physics.
He explains how & why this should be so with a whistle stop tour of discoveries past & present,
always with symmetry as the readers guiding light.
The book doesn't shy away from complex ideas but explains them with an effortless elegance. If you ever wonder how mathematics or physics could possibly be described as beautiful then this book will fill you with wonder.
Fearful symmetry is an excellent guide to how close we are to completely describing the Universe.
A must read.
