I can relate to Alexander's problem, but a better attitude would have helped! - By: ! Betty Dravis, 31 Jul 2006
A classic that we'll never tire of! Poor little Alexander ... things just didn't go right all day long ... from the moment he woke up with gumin his hair. I would say he was having a very bad 'hairday!" Ha-ha ... A charming, delightfully illustrated book.

Great to highlight that everyone has a bad day - By: , 21 Nov 2003
I have used this as part of self esteem & anger management sessions & it has been really good. No-one's day could ever be quite as bad as this onein reality - so you can always show that someone has had a worse day & dealt with it well. Thought it would have been nice if it wasin colour, as the kids can loose interestin black & white picture.
Marvelous - By: , 02 Sep 1999
My mother gave this book to me when I myself had a terrible & horrible day. It brightened up my day & I think of it every time a day does not go my way!
Excellent!! - By: , 11 Aug 1999
I love this book...It shows children how others have bad days. The way the book is written makes the children you read to want to participate. Pretty soon you have the children talking aloud with you as you read!
The hardback edition is better than the new softcover one! - By: , 05 Dec 1998
Alexander & I "grew up" together, & at 25 years old, he can still make me smile on a bad day. I guess I'm just nostaglic, because I prefer the first edition with the old VW bugin it!
