True romance - By: P. Lewis, 01 Jul 2008
What a wonderful book for an escapist read. It's not going to tax your brain but it'll make you feel all soft & fuzzy inside. Plus it's a decent length (though I wish publishers would stop making typefaces so small they induce eyestrain when read late at nightin dim light because the book is unputdownable). Zach is a butterfly-in-the-stomach hero with edge & it was great to revisit Matt from another of McNaught's books, 'Paradise', which I also enjoyed, albeit I preferred 'Perfect'.
brilliant book!!!! - By: Jamie fan, 26 Dec 2007
What a wonderful book! The summary on the cover didn`t do it justice! I was kept guessing until the very end & I loved the relationship that developed between the main characters. Another JM keeper to be re readin the future!
Just what the title says. - By: Jean4luv, 09 Mar 2007
I was a bit Sceptical about reading this. I think I've grown out of the whole Mystery thingy plus I'm not big on Actors being my heros.Plus (last one) I like my romance novel very old fashioned. In many ways this was. Julie is a virgin ya see. But besides that I think u'll fallin love with these two souls. You want them to be so happy & find peace you'll detest anyone that standsin their way (even ifin another lifetime you did think them nice ie- Julie's whatshisname cop)
The ending is great as well. It goes more into their relationship after they 'fess their love for each other. You'll also meet Meredith & Matt from Paradise. Great Role my namesake gave them.
Still my favourite...for sentimental reasons - By: Lil Miss Klassy, 30 Nov 2006
Many years ago, I was given this book to read whilst at school - it was my first adult romance & I fellin love with it! I couldn't put it down; as unrealistic as the characters may seem now at the time JM had created a world far away from my own which totally enthralled me. I re-read this book at least three times after I first picked it up & fellin love with Zach's character - years later I still read this book & it still stirs me up, I think more so because it was one of my favourites, although Julie doesn't seem as wonderful as she once did. Still I love it & would recommend it, but to those who prefer more realistic characters I wouldn't suggest any of JM's contemporary romances! I am a huge fan of JM but her historical romances are hard to beat (especially Kingdom of Dreams & Whitney My Love) - but Perfect is still 'Perfect' for me!
Less Than Perfect - By: , 09 Oct 2005
I love Judith Mcnaught's books (with the exception of Tender Triumph) & spent ages looking for this book. When at last I had it, I could hardly wait to read it, expecting another 'Paradise'. What a disappointment it was then! Both characters were far too 'soppy' & especially Julie, who was such a good, sweet girl that it was sickening! Completely unbelievable. The charcter of Zach could have been so good, but instead was pathetic. I'm sorry Judith, I really have loved your other work but this was a real let down. If you are someone who likes to have an author's complete collection, then sure, go ahead & buy this book, but otherwise, you're not missing anything. If this is the first J.M book that you read, don't let it put you off! Try Paradise instead!
