I am really enjoying working with this book, it is giving me a greater insight into the mechanics of music than I gleaned from formal piano lessons as a child. It treats me as an intelligent adult & instills confidence. A great way to take up the piano again after 50 years.

I brought this book hoping to improve after getting to know the piano better & it has really helped me so much. I have improved so much since reading it & it is just brilliant. It teaches you how to read sheet music, goes into depth about chords & talks about improvising. It has lots of diagrams to justify the text which makes it easier to learn. There are a decent amount of song exercises & they are quite easy but a really big help towards playing harder songs. Best piano book I've read, have learned so muchin little time.

If you want to tap out a tune on the piano then this book is fine but not if you would like to actually be able to play the piano. If you can read music already then you will speed through this & probably not be challengedin the slightest, there is far too much writing & too little music. For learning to play with both hands & popular music there are much better books

This is a well written book. I love playing my piano & this book has really shown me how to do it with ease.
