I don't know who wrote the product description for this book - but its got a glaring errorin it. As any "Charmed" fan will know, the witches were "Prue (Prudence)", Piper & Phoebe, followed by Paige after Prue's death. Where amazon got "Persephone" from is anyone's guess!!!!
I also noted the complaints that all the book contains is spells/charms - its meant to be the Charmed Book of Shadows - why are they expecting a book about the series/pictures etc?

This book was nothing like i excpected,in fact it was better.It is very informative & a good starting point for anyone interested or wishing to pursue this path.There is a wealth of information on setting out your alter,a breif lesson on herbs & their magickal properties,crystals,and even ordinary objects & things you may not have imagined would find a usein witchcraft!Then of course there`s the section on spells.
I wouldn`t say the book was hugely conscerned with the Charmed characters (although they do pop up),but more about the concepts & meaning behind the charmed spells & themes.All round this is a good book which i would reccommend to new witches & Charmed fans alike, that said I truly beleive this book could arouse the interest of practically anyone - especially those that were compelled enough to read the reveiwsin the first place!It has wet my appetite & I have ordered several more books on this matter on the strengh of this book.
The Book of Shadows review. - By: , 04 Jul 2004 I really liked this book. It explains spells & potions from the TV series. I learnt a lot about wicca. The incantions are ones I mostly remember from the program. I think anyone who says this book is a dissapointment is out of their minds. I loved it! However this book would have got 5 stars if it included more about the characters.
An excellent choice of literature for a brilliant show!!! - By: , 23 May 2002 Although intially based on the hit US show "CHARMED" it gives an important insight into the real world of wicca, making "CHARMED" more believable & creating an understanding of witchcraft. It gives the reader useful tips on how to practise withcraft & essential information on the show. My favourite part of the books uncovers the bloopers & the episode guides. A wonderful gift for any "CHARMED" fan who wants more information on the show & wicca.
great for wiccans - By: , 01 Jan 2002 I like this book as it was a gift,i am not a big fan of charmed so was not really looking forward to reading it ,but after i did i was really happy with it ,its nothing to do with charmed an is just like a real book of shadows .It explains evrything on wicca ,tools,an spells which is great for a beginner of the craft.I thought the book was going to be about the tv show an pictures of those three girls everywere but to my delight it was a great wicca book that explains everything you need to knowin detail.great for wiccans i say.
