An Excellent Resource - By: Mr. John C. Mcclennan, 29 Aug 2008
An excellent product with good diagrams & very practical coaching exercises suitable for use at every level.
As the author saysin his introduction there are just a few exercises covering all the necessary topics, including Passing,Control,Shooting,Defending,Goalkeeping & Small Sided Games.
An excellent Resource.

Excellent practical guide.
Most relevant to U13+, practical & relevent game related exercises.
The drill down problem section is a great help to any coach, identify your problem then select exercises 1+ to help.
Not many on the market as good as this.
Level 3 Coach.
More great stuff from Tony Carr - By: T Asprilla, 29 May 2007
Not sure what the muddle up was with another book by Carr but I bought the first Tony Carr book (down as a Rio Ferdinand bookin Amazon)titled 'Youth Soccer Coaching: A Complete Guide to Building a Successful Team' & was very pleased with it (See my review).
When I saw Carr had released another book I was ecstatic & rushed to get a copy straight away. A lot of the technical practices I had seen before (or similar) but quite a few of the tactical practices gave me some new ideas I could apply to sessions.
This book is better structured than his first outing & I particularly like the problem checklist at the end which helps coaches to identify which practices will solve certain problems when the team/individual plays.
Good but identical to... - By: , 15 Mar 2006
This is a valuable book with a novel approach. But it is exactly the same book as "How to Coach a Soccer Team: Professional Advice on Training Plans, Skill Drills, & Tactical Analysis" by the same author. Yet Amazon's suggestions state that customers who bought this book also bought "How to Coach a Soccer Team: Professional Advice on Training Plans, Skill Drills, & Tactical Analysis". And presumably sent it straight back like I am going to do!
