Unbelievably bad - By: , 01 Sep 2005
I would classify this as a fantasy novel, aimed very simple minded readers. The story line is so hackneyed & trite that it has none of the claimed inspirational value at all.
powerful - By: Larry Hehn, 21 Oct 2003
Og Mandino delivers a powerful message through the compelling story of Mark Christopher, a "successful" insurance company vice-president who leaves the security of his job to become an inspirational writer.
Anyone who has already made such a leap of faith, or is thinking about stepping out to pursue their true vocation & become the person they were meant to become, will surely benefit from this book. The Choice is not written for the armchair quarterback, but for someone who is sincerely seeking positive changein their life. Mandino weaves lessons between the lines throughout the book.
As an author who has made a choice similar to the fictional Mark Christopher, I found tis book to be quite eerie, memorable & moving.
OG'S BEST!! - By: , 18 May 1999
I believe that this is Og's finest piece of work, even though all of his books are great. He will go downin history as the greatest inspirational writer of the 20th century. The Choice is a fine example of the wisdom & inspiration that makes Og's books such a joy to read.
It is up to you to choose greatness, not mediocrity. - By: , 15 Apr 1999
If you've been afraid of "fear", this story will definitely remind you that our only fear residesin the risks we do not take & regret later. Heartfully written & bathedin love & divine truth . . . we are guided to that which helps us to make a "choice" & when we open up our heart & soul to the needs of others & their greatness, the rewards go well beyond the material world . . . to the celestial & spiritual. Choose to read it & pass it on to someone that you know may benefit, for everyone loves a story written from the "heart".
