This book is brilliant. As a home edeucator & having muddled through teaching my daughter French to GCSE level with a mix of inadequate books I was DELIGHTED to find this one for Spanish. We used it to take both of us from nothing to GCSE Spanish levelin four months. It has EVERYTHING you need as well as a brilliant grammar section at the end - I am not keen on the current structureless way of learning languages. The only extra thing you need to do apart from going through this book systematically (out loud), is to download the past papers & mark schemes from AQA, if that is your board,and to get something for the accent - we used an old Collins Spanish (South American)Phrase book - & away you go. I only wish there was a book like this for German (there isn't - I've searched)
"D" best Spanish book for students taking GCSE - By: , 02 Apr 2003 Listos!3 Rojo is a very resourceful book for the GCSE higher coursein Spanish. Me myself is a spanish higher student & Listos!3 Rojo is such a great book. Every page is filled with funfilled activities with different interesting colours which makes the book very pleasing & attractive, thus making studying of Spanish higher course not boring but exciting & entertaining. I am sure that every students that will use this book will enjoy studying Spanish. The book is very detailed & all of the information needed are foundin the book such as vocabulary check upin every end of the chapter, which other Spanish books don't provide. The book have all of the topics needed to study at GCSE such as introducing yourself, going on a holiday & finding out whether somethihg is possible. Different chapter check ups briefly summarises the chapter which makes revision for module & terminal examniation very easy & very smooth. Teacher will also love to use this book because this will make their teaching very smooth & this book will make class discussion very interesting for the students. On top of all this,in my opinion, expect to have a passing mark or even higher when you use this book because this book really makes Spanish a very interesting subject.
