Good stuff but predictable - By: Kate, 29 Dec 2007
There is a certain charm about Gena Showalter's stories even though you can sort of guess the bare bones of the characters & plot without even opening the book. Girl - 25 (or looks it), virgin, headstrong & unusual looks, usually baring a tasteful tattoo. Bloke - rugged, overbaring, overprotective warrior/adventurer type who is instantly besotted with the heroine & spends a great deal of the story coming to terms with his feelings & persuading her to do the same. Somebody threatens the girl & boom, story.

The predictability is the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars because actually I did really enjoy The Nymph King. I like the very easy writing style & I laughed out loud at some of Shaye's lines.

It's definately worth a read if you just want a fluffy, undemanding, straight-forward sort of romance.
Fantastic!! - By: Vicki W, 15 Aug 2007
Considering I had never read a book by this author before & purchased on the spur of the moment - I was really impressed! I love mythology based stories & found this added a new twist on what I have previously read. I liked the characters & really got involved with the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes both romantic leads to have guts & real presence, whilst finding their way to each other. I have since ordered some other books by this author & I think after reading "The Nymph King" you will probably do the same.

If you enjoythis book then you may also enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark Hunter Series.

Happy Reading!
Easy read - By: Giselle3, 23 Jul 2007
This book is such a quick read, I got through itin a day. The story itself is very enjoyable, though I think Ms Showalter borrowed a few of her characterisations from Sharon Shinn's excellent 'Archangel'. Nevertheless, for a great holiday read this book is great & definately the best of the three Atlantis books.
worth less than a one star - By: Cherry, 12 Jun 2007
Worse than a B-rated movie, it does not even deserve a one star. Plot is weak. Story-telling quality is annoyingly designed just for titillation at the expense of quality. Not worth the moneyin buying it no matter how cheap.
What a waste of time - By: Kate 2003, 29 Mar 2007
I'd read the resume of this book, & the previous client review but was bitterly disappointed. With virtually no plot & little characterisation this book is just an excuse for mild titillation. The only pointin its favour is that it doesn't take long to read
