excellent, proper good practical cook book. With recipes to make, not just a book to look good on the shelf
Disappointing - By: Mrs. L. Dewi-lewis, 09 Aug 2010
I bougth this book based on the smount of 'good' reviews it had received. I have a large collection of cookery books & can never resist a new one to add to the collection, but I was very disappointed with this book as I didn't think it had anything new to offer & a bit uninspiring. (I suppose I should have realised that from the title that it was more family meals that dinner party recipes.) I expected some more original recipes such as the ones shown on 'food tour of britain'. However, I would consider buying another of their books, as it was clearly written.

The book was given as a birthday present to my son & was very well received
Not all Mum's know best!! - By: LindsayLou, 16 Jul 2010
Actually bought this for my DAD for Father's Day, he loved the series, & was quite envious when i got the book bought for Christmas. We have both made Samosas (Yummy), Rocky Road, (my children preferred Grandads), Lemon Drizzle Cake (I won that one), & my 11 year old daughter made Empire biscuits, (so good we made her make 2 batches). Would recommend this to anyone, even if they haven't watched the series, some excellent recipes, good value (Amazon cheapest when I did a check round my local supermarkets & bookshops), & a good recipe book to have on your kitchen shelf.
Not what I expected. - By: keennovicecook, 05 Jul 2010
I was hoping for a traditional book with lots of everyday type recipes, these cooks use a lot of fat & butter & it is not what I would call a family recipe book. There are one or two you could cook for a family. I think the title is a little misleading. I still go to j oliver for a quick meal. I would not buy another of these bikers books put it that way.
