Toe-curling rubbish - By: Valerie Cole, 22 Oct 2008
This book is quite simply awful. Trinny & Susannah are scraping the barrel with this book & have obviously run out of ideas. They look terriblein a selection of joke shop wigs & ill fitting clothes & have no real understanding of what the icons they have chosen looked like. Terribly researched stocking filler rushed out for the Christmas market - avoid!
Don't waste your money!! - By: Cabatach, 20 Oct 2008
I have bought every book Trinny & Susannah have written & was excited to see this new book was out. However on a look through it, I was very disapointed & felt they had finally run out of ideas. It will not be on my Xmas list!!
Interesting, but not sure of its utility - By: bookworm, 04 Oct 2008
This book deconstructs various styles that are hallmarks of style icons such as Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn etc. It encourages people to adopt a different style depending on their mood. While the deconstruction of the styles is interesting & well thought out, my problem with it is that to me style is not really about mood - it is about personality. Your style should reflect the person you are rather than looking like a cheap imitation of someone else. So, if someone's natural style is "gamine" nothing prevents them from dressing say "avant-garde eccentric" or "cutting edge cool", but the problem is they may also look like they are playing a partin a play rather than being themselves. This can be seenin the different "costumes" Trinny & Susannah have worn for this book. I call them "costumes" becausein these clothes their own natural style (which is excellent) has been swamped & they look instead like fake Marilyn Monroe's & fake Grace Kelly's (and, I infinitely prefer the original Princess Grace & Marilyn Monroe). The book might be more helpful for those who are still trying to find their natural style.

This book is classic Trinny & Susannah. It is fun, irreverent & full of great ideas. It will give you the confidence to explore your wardrobe & get the most out of it. Just like you eat everyday & expect something tasty on your plate, you get dressed everyday & should really enjoy the experience. This book will certainly help you with that. It also makes a great present, be it for your teenage daughter or your mother-in-law!

This is a beautiful book, packed with fun & invetive ideas/advice for dressing differently. With the depressing economic sitauation this book is a breath of fresh fabulous fashionable air. I feel I can be my own stylist now.
