Alot about everything - By: Christopher Morgan, 29 May 2007
This book is brilliant for anyone doing a business or management course at university or someone who may want a broad insight into the working of information systems.
This is really a great reference book for many subjects that you may cover & contains alot of useful information. Its not really a book you read right through but having used it as somewhat of a dictionary I can say it is the most useful book I own or have readin regards to the 'Information Systems' subject.
Very much worth the cost & better & more comprehensive than any other IS book. Recommended by my university lecturers as a great text book for my BIS subject & now me as a great time saving mini library.
A very good Jack of all! - By: , 29 Apr 2005
I'm about to finish an IT & Management BSc course. We (everyone on the course!) bought this bookin 2002 - & yes, I know it says publishedin 2003! ;) - This has been the best book on our entire course:
a) I've read the entire book (unusual for this kind of text),
b) I've referenced this book the most,
c) there's pretty much a bit of everythingin it.
It covers most IT management topics (strategy etc.) - & is very good if you need to waffle about something you have not got a specialist book on (that is, minor points such as 'Resistance to Change').
Very helpful book.... - By: , 11 Sep 2003
This book practically got me through the last year of my degreein Business Information Systems! The majority of topics to do with IT/IS are dealt with this bookin good detail. Each chapter contains definitions of the key terms, case studies & activities & concludes with a list of further reading & relevant web links. The book is well written, nicely laid out & contains up-to-date information.
A must for any IT/IS student!
