Shows how lazy she really is - By: Anyd, 29 Jun 2007
After the first few sketches, you feel like you've got deja vu. They're all practically the same. Basic setup, plot device, catchphrase, the end. It's like having to write lines on the blackboard, just the same thing over & over. There are about five different sketchesin this book, then they make a minor adjustment every time that character crops up again. What a waste.

I've been a fan of Cathreine Tate since the first series of Wild West, & The Catherine Tate Show is a fave show of mine & I was interested when I saw that the scripts were going to be releasedin a book.
Well here you are, all the scrips from the sketches from both series 1 & 2 (not the Chrismas Special). It pretty much explains itself, if you are the sort of person who likes to collect companion books to TV shows then this is a good one.
Throughout the book there are photos - both posed & clips from espiosdes of Catherine as the various charcters. Both the well known ones like Lauran & Nan but also lesser known like 'How Many How Much' woman & 'one off' characters, such as Drunken Bride.
Note: This book is 100% scripts so don't expect charatcer profiles & such. It would heve been nice if the book had included such things as an extra but the amount of scipts & pictures (some with quotes) make up for it.
I've started to collect books/scripts of my fave shows & this one happens to be one of my faves - Hardback, well presented throughout.
The book is an excellent companion to the show. If you are looking at its page on the site (and you must be if you are reading this) then I'd asume you are already a Tate fan - or know someone who is. In that case you know exactly what you are getting - so get it.
