SAVE YOUR MONEY!! - By: Lu, 16 Oct 2008
I think this author must have laughed all the way to the bankin amazement that people could actually swallow this story. I definitely found it hard to swallow, however, I persisted & finished it as I had heard it was worth a read. The story is totally unbelievable with little to offerin relation to inspiration. A five year old may find parts of this book interesting! There are plenty of great spiritual books to buy... so don't buy this one.
This book changed my life - By: Helly, 16 Oct 2008
I read this book while I was on holiday; taking a much needed break from a job that was driving me mad & grinding me down. This book really got me to think about my life & what was important to me so I handed my noticein the day I got back to work. I found a new job surprisingly easily & am now earning more money, for less hours & doing a job that I love. If a book can help me do all that it can't be bad (even if it is a little bit patronising at times). Well worth reading.
A little gem - By: reet, 02 Oct 2008
What a great read & a great find! I found this book to be refreashing & practical. Many self help books go on & on about leading a peaceful, simple life etc etc but rarely do they give sound, good practical techniques that you can use daily to change your life! A must read esp for those who feel lost or saddened by their current situations.
Great Book - By: Steven R. McEvoy, 31 May 2008
This is an interesting story. It is a story of a lawyer who appears to have it all - the corner office, the life style, the cars, women, ... Then he gives it all up & tours the East. While there he comes across this strange monk & monastery. He comes to live lifein a much different way. Yet he is challenged by the monk who has trained him to go back home & share the message he has learnt, with the West. Julian, our main character, returns to his old law firm & to his prot?g? John. He tells him a parable; then the rest of the book explains the parable & how it relates to different aspects of our lives. The parable is rather simple & a little strange but as it is explained you will never forget it. Read it to find out how a garden, lighthouse, sumo wrestler, pink wire cable, stopwatch, roses & a winding path of diamonds are symbols of timeless principles & virtues by which to live your life. This book could help raise the quality of your life to a new level.

Somebody gave me this book to read & I thought it was an excellent book. I've read it a few times & I even bought my own copy. I find it uplifting with every read.
