Really Really Good - By: dizzyshelly, 11 Apr 2008
This book is the second part to The Journey. It really was a good ending, & having known the characters from the first book, there were tearsin my eyes at the end of this book.
The characters all feel alive, & I felt as if I really knew all these people!!!
An excellent book - By: Charlotte, 03 Apr 2007
I found the book a real page turner. It has made me want to read her previous books to find out what happened with Barney & Lucy & how he died. The characters were more beliveable than some books, & reactedin a more predictable way. It was a good all round book which was suitable for all ages. Highly recommended
Following on from THE JOURNEY by Josephine Cox - By: Andy Capp, 21 Mar 2007
Following on from THE JOURNEY by Josephine Cox, the sequel JOURNEY'S END was a fabulous piece of writing. Once again the characters played a magnificent partin the novel & as I read the book there were some incidentsin the book that I didn't see coming but as I say that is Jo's tremendous gift she has as a first class writer. I thought the confession from Lucy at the beginning of the book that was entitled THE TELLING was a moving piece of writing. It was sad about Barney Davidson but I thought the character Leonard Maitland was excellent, I could imagine Boston USA when I was reading & Leonard's office as there is a lot of business opportunitiesin Boston I would imagine.
I thought Jo's description of the evil Edward Trent was superb & I'm glad he got his comeuppance, I knew that he would get caught for his dastardly deeds.
I think readers will enjoy this sequel to THE JOURNEY & all the best to Jo I really enjoy reading your book.
the second book fto The Journey - By: P. Tuthill, 28 Oct 2006
this is the follow on to the journey. Now after reading the Journey i sat & waited & waited for this book i hated the wait i wentin to smiths to find out when it was being published & to find out i had to waite another 4 months i was sure it was going to kill me.
In the Journey you follow an old woman telling her story to her daugther & a gentleman. The second book which is this one Journeys end is when the Old woman finally deals with her past & lays ghosts to rest. its a beautiful sotry & a remarkable book. its speel binding & of course its a must to read the journey first & then this but i promise you it will be well worth it.
Nice story - By: Clare T, 12 Oct 2006
This book follows the fortunes of the characters from Cox's earlier novel 'The Journey'. I found this a very easy & pleasant read. Cox is an excellent storyteller with pleasant & loveable characters. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good old fashioned nice story!
